Major Fire At Willard Lake Resort

A major fire Monday afternoon at the Willard Lake Resort between Vermilion Bay and Kenora.
The blaze caused extensive damage as it spread from cabin to cabin.
The fire broke out around 2:00 in the afternoon.
Fire fighters from Kenora, Longbow Lake and Machin all responded, but by the time they arrived at the scene, the buildings were pretty much engulfed.
A lack of water supply hampered fire fighting efforts.
Damage to the gas station and restaurant is unknown at this time.
No one was injured.
