Lac Seul First Nation has handed the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre a $50,000 cheque for a new CT Scan Unit.
Officials with the Sioux Lookout fund-raising committee note Lac Seul is setting a great example and hope other communities jump on Board.
The group says they are now $250,000 shy of its $1.5-million goal.
Its estimated that there will be roughly 2,500 exams in the first year of operation.
The new Sioux Lookout Hospital is scheduled to open in November and will serve some 30-First Nation communities.
