The Town of Ignace is rallying local residents to show the McGuinty
Government that the community is not taking the current economic crisis
lying down.
Council is holding a community protest Saturday morning at 11 in front
of the Town Plaza.
Residents will form a human chain and will walk back and forth across
Highway 17.
Town officials say they have had enough of Government inaction
surrounding recent announcements from Bowater and the closure of the
Sawmill.
Protesters will be handing out brochures to motorists and Council
stresses the demonstration will be peaceful.
