A major retrofit the Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital in Red Lake is 2 months behind schedule.
Work is expected to conclude in early December as the necessary funding had to be secured.
Goldcorp Chair Rob McEwen recently came forward with a $1 million personal donation to put funding close to its $3.7 million target.
CEO Ken McGeorge says once completed, the Hospital will have a new nursing station, emergency room and birthing facilities among other things.
McGeorge adds that construction is on-going which will mean some minor inconveniences the next couple of months.
Right now the Hospital is running 8 beds fewer than normal and they are also admitting less patients.
