Mammogram Services Year Round In Sioux Lookout

The Ontario Breast Screening Program out of Thunder Bay is working with Sioux Lookout’s Meno Ya Win Health Centre to provide mammograms to First Nation women from fly in communities.
Spokesperson Alison McMullen says teaming up with the hospital should mean women will be able to book mammograms year round.
Previously, they would take the bus to Sioux Lookout for a three week period.
McMullen says the Sioux Lookout hospital should be accredited as a breast screening program partner by April.
