A Dryden man probably regrets pulling off the side of the road.
Police stopped to assist a vehicle parked on Highway 17 near Third Street.
However, the driver quickly accelerated away.
The vehicle was stopped a short distance later and officers determined the driver was impaired.
Police say the accused had a previous outstanding impaired charge.
Police say 34-year-old Carlton Meekis of Dryden faces 2-counts of impaired driving, driving while suspended and breach of undertaking.
