Man Injured In Head-On Collision With Moose

A late night scare for one motorist Friday.

The Wabigoon Fire Service says a car collided head on with a moose on Highway 72, about 20-kilometres north of Dinorwic.

Firefighters from Wabigoon and Dryden responded and were able to free the man from the vehicle.

Officials say the driver received significant cuts and abrasions to his arms, hands and face.

He was transported to hospital in Dryden for treatment.
