Man Sentenced Following Brutal Attack

A man who brutalized and sexually assaulted an elderly Thunder Bay woman in her home is going to jail for years.
Alan Esquega apologized in court yesterday for his actions and admitted he has a history of violence.
His effective jail sentence is 11 and a half years.
The 87-year-old victim said she got 75 dollars for him from her purse.
He then pushed her toward the basement and she fell down the stairs.
He then repeatedly attacked her.
