A man who came into Canada illegally has turned himself into local authorities.
Dryden Police say a 20-year-old from Wisconsin came to the station Wednesday morning and surrendered.
The man said he had jumped a train on Sunday morning with the intention of heading to California, but when the train stopped in Winnipeg he decided to hitch hike to Dryden.
Police took the man to Ignace, where he was met by officers from the Canada Border Services Agency.
