Manitoba Man Saves Child In Kenora

A three-year-old boy is alive after he was saved at a Kenora beach over the weekend.
The hero is a Manitoba man and the luck that put him at the scene.
26-year-old Dave Redl of Blumenort says he and his friends were originally planning to go to The Forks in Winnipeg on Saturday, but ended up swimming in Kenora instead.
Redl says a young boy was pulled lifeless from the water at Anicinabe Park and he was the only one of about 60 people on the beach who knew C-P-R.
He says he performed the life-saving procedure on the child for about 10 minutes.
He says the boy started breathing again.
Provincial Police say an off duty paramedic from Kenora was also on scene who assisted with the child.
The child was taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital, held for observations then released.
