Another step forward for an all-weather road in Shoal Lake #40 First Nation.
The province of Manitoba has committed to the project in the Speech from the Throne.
Lieutenant Governor Janice Filmon stated in her speech that the government is broadening the mandate of the Eastside Road Authority to include the building of the Freedom Road.
Earlier this year, the City of Winnipeg, the Manitoba Government and the federal government each committed $1-million to the design phase of the road.
