The Oxdrift Volunteer Fire Team has received a generous donation of $500 from Manitoulin Transport.
The Transport company decided to give the money to the Fire Team because they are all volunteers and give a great deal of their time to the community in Oxdrift, and as backup to Machin and Dryden.
The company also says they also have to deal with ongoing training and upkeep of equipment and vehicles.
Manitoulin Transport also reminds local residents and businesses that the Oxdrift Volunteer Fire Team are also a registered Charity with the Government of Canada.
