A sister has been called home. As her spirit soars, so do our emotions. At a time of sorrow and of the gentle warmth left by Margaret’s spirit, we sadly announce the passing of a true person, a precious wife, mother, sister and friend. Margaret touched many people in her life’s travels. Starting life in Hudson, Ontario we can remember Margaret and Mark vying for top marks in class. Margaret, so she would get a new bike, Mark so he could teach her how to ride the new bike. She spent her teenage years in Thunder Bay, attending Sir John A. McDonald, St. Ignatius and Hillcrest. The bonds of friendship from her years spent in Thunder Bay remained with Margaret throughout her life. In 1974 Margaret had her first child, son Robert and in 1978 her daughter Arwen arrived. Margaret then went on in her life’s travels continuing to touch people’s hearts in Alberta and B.C. She always felt her greatest peace being surrounded by the mountains and listening to the oceans call. When Bob and Bridget (Margie’s parents) moved to Borups Corner, Margie brought herself and family to help out. Doing catering contracts and working for Broda Construction, she became an active community member of Dyment, bringing friends and neighbours together. Romalli and Scrabble were played around many kitchen tables. Margie’s travels continued on for a few years. In 1986 Margaret met Ron and his family. A true calling for Margie arrived “Grammie Marg”. Margaret loved the little people; she had such a way to help them learn. Her memory will be carried on with everyone she touched. Margaret’s mother Bridget, grandparents Margaret and James McHale, Margaret and Karl Peterson and special friend Muggs predeceased her. She leaves to cherish her memory, Ronald her Husband, son Robert, daughter Arwen and Stacey (Wellington), father Bob, her sister Robbie and Wayne, Ron’s family Terri-Lin, Dennis and Shalene, Kaley, Derrick, Brittany, Travis and Jessica. Bob’s sisters Ingrid, Nellie, Shirley, brother Jim and their families, Bridget’s sister Agnes, Aunty Marg, Lorina, Jack, Don, Bill and their families. Her nieces, Deidre and Al (Delorme), Jamie-Lynn and Bridgette. Numerous cousins and special friends, Jean and Diana of Thunder Bay, Colette, Garry, Susan and so many other special friends and family that her spirit touched. We will remember Margaret and her herbalist cures, her passion for love and life. Margaret’s spirit will soar in all of our memories, a memory of a true friend.
