It is with great sadness, the family of Mary Manchulenko announces her passing on Tuesday March 23rd at the Dryden Regional Health Centre at the age of 93.
Left to cherish Mary is her loving husband of 69 years, John,
children: George (Cheryl), and Gail(Bob) Molloy, 3 granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren, extended family and friends. She is predeceased by grandson Curtis Manchulenko, in 1979.
Mary was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, July 20, 1916 and lived there until 1940 when she married John on June 4, 1940. She then left Winnipeg to join John to operate his fishing and hunting camp and residing in Upsala. In the early 1950’s, they moved to Ignace and built and operated Breezy Point Camp, running it until retirement at the end of 1981.
She loved her garden, flowers, going fishing and especially picking blueberries. She and John did a lot of traveling to the west coast and southern Ontario and had 15 wonderful golden winters in Florida.
In 2003, Mary and John moved to Dryden to live in Patricia Gardens. From 2007 until her passing, Mary resided at Princess Court.
Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday March 26th at the Dryden Community Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation for the late Mary Manchulenko will be held on Saturday March 27th from 12 noon to 12:30 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Ignace, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. with Father Al Campeau officiating.
Interment in the Ignace cemetery.
