1938 – 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary McComb announces her sudden passing Thursday, August 21, 2014.
She is survived by her husband Roy, and daughter Deborah (Roy), grandchildren: Sean (Anna), Chris (Erin), and Aaron Shorrock as well as great-granddaughter Arianna, by her brothers: Bob (Rosemary), and Gordon (Rosemary) Grover and Karen (Dean) Chambers along with many cousins, nephews, nieces and her uncle Ken Leitch
Mary loved and was extremely proud of her family.
Mary was predeceased by her parents William and Margret Grover and brother-in-law Jim McComb as well as many aunts and uncles.
Mary was born on a stormy winter day on January 28, 1938 in Mosa Township. She attended a one room school in Mosa Township and St. Mary’s High school. She worked for a number of years as a secretary in London Ont. and as a supply teacher at Dryden High school. If anyone needed a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on, they were always welcome. Mary will be remembered as a happy, loving person continuously helping others and always welcoming everyone into her home.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday August 27th, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Dryden First United Church with Reverend Hewitt Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in the Dryden Cemetery. Visitation will take place Tuesday August 26th, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Moffat Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home.
