High praise for English River Miners forward Alex Maticic.
The 16-year-old forward has been named SIJHL Rookie of the Month for January.
Maticic recorded four goals and five assists in 13 games.
Two of his tallies were game winners.
Maticic is fourth in the league in rookie scoring with 24-points.
Dryden’s Troy Williams also received consideration.
