With the minimum wage set to hit $14 an hour in less than a week, Bill Mauro says he understands the concerns from small businesses.
However, the Thunder Bay Atikokan MPP suggests the wage hike will help businesses and workers.
Mauro adds he did his best to represent small business interests during the process of raising the minimum wage.
He notes while each political party has its own stance on the minimum wage hike, they agree they need to address issues like poorly paid or insecure work.
