Mayor of Atikokan dismisses reports

The Mayor of Atikokan is dismissing reports that Council will vote shortly whether they will continue to pay the utility bills at the idled Fibratech Mill.
Dennis Brown says making a decision to close the Plant for good is a very, very last resort.
Brown notes they are working with interested buyers and he believes the Town is close to securing an agreement.
Just before Christmas, the receiver of the bankrupt mill decided it no longer wanted to be responsible for the bills.
