Mayor Gord Dingman isn’t walking away until the job gets done.
The Machin mayor has filed his papers for re-election for a second term.
Dingman says things that need to get done in the municipality include road work and getting the cost down of water for those living in Vermilion Bay.
He says the municipality has been trying for 4 years to get the cost of water down.
Dingman says since being mayor he has put new LED street lights in all the municipalities.
He also expects to be hearing from the federal government about getting the dock in Vermilion Bay repaired and turned over to the municipality.
Dingman is being challenged by Garry Parkes and Drew Myers.
Councillors Joe Ruete, Gord Griffiths and Dennis Peterson have filed nomination papers for Council.
