McGuinty Confirms He Won’t be in Attendance

Premier Dalton McGuinty isn’t planning to participate in a debate in Thunder Bay despite an offer from the Progressive Conservatives to cover his costs.
The Tories say they’ll pay for the Premier to appear via
tele-conference for the debate, but McGuinty isn’t biting.
Speaking in Thunder Bay, the Liberal leader says he’ll debate Northern issues during the main televised leaders’ debate on September 27th instead.
He says he got an invitation in August for the northern debate, but told the organizers that he couldn’t make it on the date they set.
