It’s a day of remembering in Kenora.
A commemoration ceremony is taking place today for residential school survivors.
The McIntosh Residential School operated north of Vermillion Bay from 1924 to 1965.
The building burned down in March of 1965 and students were dispersed to other schools.
The ceremony features a number of speakers who were students at the school.
The event wraps up tonight with entertainment.
