McMaster on RR district test scores 2

The province has released test scores for grades three and six, and in the Rainy River District School board, those numbers are up and down.

Director of Education Jack McMaster says all grade three tests, reading, writing and math are higher here than the provincial average, while in grade six, the reading and writing are lower while math is above average.

McMaster says the differences have to do with the provincial initiative of changing practices at the primary level…

N004
18 seconds
O/C…are quite phenomenal.

McMaster stressed that although in four of the six test results, local students are above the provincial average, they are not satisfied and there is always room to improve.
