Med. Students #1

Northern Ontario Aboriginal Communities are preparing to

host first year medical students.

Two students will be assigned to each community, and

will arrive at the end of April.

Dr. Dan Hunt is the Vice Dean of Academic Activities at

the Northern Ontario Medical School.

Hunt says they’ve received feedback from First Nations

through a series of two day workshops.

The community placements enable medical students to

learn clinical skills, and examine the roles health care

providers play in rural and remote settings.
