It’s being called the “Medical Miracle”.
The group ‘Dreambelievers’ is hosting a fundraiser next Saturday for Dryden musician Shannyn Peters, who is recovering from surgery to remove an 88-pound cancerous tumour.
Peters and Mardi Plomp were both guests on the CKDR Morning Show Friday.
Plomp called Peters an amazing individual and an inspiration.
She says the fundraiser at the Fairgrounds will include prizes, games and entertainment.
Peters says she’s literally happy to be here and notes she’s getting stronger every day.
She notes it’s been a long road to recovery.
Peters urges people to get checked out if they feel pain or believe something is wrong.
The fundraiser starts at 8:00 on June 13th and tickets are available at Lotto One, Busters BBQ and Co-Op in Vermilion Bay.
They are also available at the door.
