In loving memory of Mel Durand who passed away at the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital on Saturday, December 26th, with his sons by his side at the age of 66.
He is survived by his wife Ruth, children Andy, Mike, Jen, Carole-Lynn and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Gord, Greta, Nola, Jay, Darry, Denis, Sheila, and Janet.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, December 31st at 11 am in the St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Father Cornelius Amaechi officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30th from 7 to 9 pm with prayers at 8 pm in the Herold Funeral Home “The Red Lake Chapel” and Thursday, December 31st from 10 to 11 am in St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ALS Society of Ontario or charity of choice through Herold Funeral Home “The Red Lake Chapel” P.O. Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
