The MP for the Kenora Riding has been in his new job for less than a week, but already he’s been hard at work.
Eric Melillo was named the Conservative’s critic for Northern Affairs and FedNor in the shadow cabinet.
Melillo says there are a number of issues he wants to focus on, including improved broadband service in the north.
There’s lots of money flowing to different organizations, but the infrastructure hasn’t been provided, so there needs to be more accountability there,” he explains.
Melillo says he also took time this week to talk with the federal minister responsible for Northern Affairs.
