The MPP for Kenora-Rainy River stresses mental health and addictions remain a top priority for the Ford government.
Today (Wednesday) is ‘Bell Let’s Talk Day’.
Greg Rickford says it’s important to break the stigma.
“Approximately 30% of Ontarians will experience a mental health and/or addictions issue at some point of their lives. Every year two million Ontarians go to their family doctor for mental health or addictions challenges.
Rickford says their goal is to create a “comprehensive, connected and integrated mental health and addictions system so that every Ontario resident will have the opportunity to be fully supported on their journey towards mental health wellness.”
Bell will donate five cents for social media posts, including texts, tweets, Snapchat and the Bell Let’s Talk Day Facebook page.
Today on #BellLetsTalkDay, let’s start a conversation about mental health. The stigma around mental health affects us all, and together we can make Ontario a place where no one has to suffer in silence. Let's talk. #BellLetsTalk #MentalHealthMatters pic.twitter.com/9FdDWN1uIO
