The President of the Metis Nation of Ontario calls a deal with the Province a long time coming.
The 2 year agreement allows Metis to hunt and fish freely for their food but anything they catch cannot be sold.
Tony Belcourt says its better than the previous contract they had the Ministry of Natural Resources and he looks forward to working with the MNR.
Belcourt says the decision is well deserved and will benefit and improve the lives of all Metis.
