Metis Nation Creating Corporation

The Metis Nation of Ontario is establishing its own economic development corporation.
President Tony Belcourt says the organization has never before set out to make money and has only been involved in non-profit ventures.
Now, Belcourt says MNO members will be able to invest in projects that will benefit their own communities.
He notes the corporation has already approved funding for a value-added wood project in Northern Ontario.
