Dryden is serving up a couple of very different—but equally meaningful—events this May. Whether you’re looking to unwind with live music or take part in an important community conversation, there’s something here for you in Your Sunset Country!
Dryden Go-Getters Open Mic Night

May 15 | Doors 6PM | Music 7–10PM | The Milltown Stage
If live music, local talent, and a fun, laid-back atmosphere sound like your kind of night, the Dryden Go-Getters Open Mic Night is calling your name. Hosted at The Milltown Stage, this evening is all about showcasing the sounds of the community—whether you’re stepping up to the mic or just enjoying the show.
Doors open at 6PM, giving you time to settle in, grab some refreshments, and soak up the vibe before performances kick off at 7PM. For just $5 admission, you get an intimate, grassroots music experience where anything can happen—original songs, covers, surprises, and maybe even a few unforgettable moments.
It’s the kind of night that feels a bit like hanging out with friends… except those friends happen to be really talented.
Dryden Regional Palliative Care Conference

May 21 | 8:30AM–4PM
On a very different note, but just as impactful, the 3rd Annual Dryden Regional Palliative Care Conference invites the community to take part in an important conversation. This year’s theme—“Talking About Death Won’t Kill You”—aims to break down barriers and open up honest dialogue around end-of-life care.
Held from 8:30AM to 4PM, this free event is open to everyone, whether you’re a healthcare professional, caregiver, or simply someone who wants to better understand and support loved ones through life’s most challenging moments.
The conference offers a space for learning, discussion, and connection, helping people feel more comfortable talking about topics that are often avoided—but matter deeply.
