New Gold has made its first pour at its mine north of Barwick
The company was able to yield about 500 ounces of gold and 600 ounces of silver.
President and Chief Executive Officer Hannes Portmann says the pour was a special one, reflecting the team effort required to reach key milestones for the project.
More than 290,000 tonnes of ore has already been processed since the facilities became operational in the middle of September.
