Mill Manager Addresses Energy Rebate

The Dryden Weyerhaeuser Mill stands to save just under $2-million
a year from the electricity rebate program.
Manager Norm Bush says they’re disappointed the Province didn’t go
with a $45 per mega watt hour energy rate.
Bush adds they’re still paying $2 to $3 million more for
electricity than competing mills.
Speaking to regional forestry reps in Kenora Tuesday, Norm Bush
told delegates that he was able to buy Indonesian paper for $3
cheaper than what his own mill was producing.
