domtar has announced the start-up date for the paper mill and the
converting area at the dryden mill.
company spokesperson bonnie skene says operations will resume next
month.

following september 29th to deterime an appropriate start-up date.
meantime, domtar and ckdr have been receiving calls about a strange
odour coming from the dryden mill.
skene says a piece of equipment called a ‘stripper’ broke off wednesday
in the pulp-recovery boiler area.
skene says the malfunction caused the unusual odour and environmental
crews are addressing the problem.
she notes the situation has improved and domtar apologizes for any
inconvenience.
