Milt Strachan Wins Gary Cook Memorial Award

It’s considered the most prestigious award in the Superior International Junior Hockey League and this year a member of the Fort Frances Lakers has been recognized.

Team president Milt Strachan has won the CCM-Gary Cook Memorial Award.

The distinguished honour is presented annually to an individual in recognition for their efforts, commitment and contributions to their respective team as well as the league.

The award is in honour of the late hockey icon and Northwestern Ontario Hall of Famer Gary Cook who was recognized for over five decades of hockey-related service to the community of Thunder Bay.

Malcolm Robertson and Ted Lake are past winners from Dryden to be recognized.
