Miners Defeat Kam River; Dryden GM Falls To Thunder Bay

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs and Red Lake Miners both earned a split at the Showcase event in Spooner, Wisconsin.

The Ice Dogs couldn’t make it two in a row as they fell short against Thunder Bay 6-5.

Maxime Collette and Tristan Takats both had a pair of goals, while Tyler Earl added a marker.

Cole Johnston returned to the net and made 38 saves in the loss.

The Miners avenged a Tuesday night loss to Wisconsin with a 5-3 win over first place Kam River.

Red Lake trailed in the game 3-0 but stormed back with 1 in the second period and four in the third.

Finding the back of the net included Nic Bolin, Ryan Howe, Ryan Hunter, Ethan Pool and Noah Kramps.

Kiev Kineshanko made 30 saves for the victory.

In the third game, Wisconsin outlasted Fort Frances 5-4.
