The English River Miners found some offence but it wasn’t enough in a 5-3 loss in Fort Frances Tuesday night.
Stratton Pickett, Jared Janke and Coleton Johnson scored for the Miners, who just had one goal in two weekend games in Thief River Falls.
Michael Lenko made just 19-saves in the loss.
Fort Frances was led by Hunter Buzzi of Ignace, who scored a pair of goals.
Kenora’s Jack Bernie had a goal and an assist.
English River is back on home ice Thursday night.
