The English River Miners are the first team in the SIJHL to finally solve the Thief River Norskies.
The Miners snapped the Norskies impressive 18-game winning streak Friday night with a 4-2 win.
Michael Di Lullo scored two for English River, while Matt O’Neill and Kyle Rosolowski added singles.
English River outshot Thief River Falls 23-22, with Michael Lenko picking up the win.
Elsewhere, the Thunder Bay North Stars defeated Fort Frances 2-0.
