The English River Miners begin a huge three game homestand Thursday against the SIJHL leading Thunder Bay North Stars.
The third place Miners are looking to catch up to both the North Stars and Dryden GM Ice Dogs in the standings.
English River is also trying to fend off the Thief River Falls Norskies, who are four points back.
Game time tonight is 7:30 at the Cochenour Arena.
