Ontario’s minimum wage is up to $8/hour Thursday and
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton feels that’s not nearly enough.
The NDP Leader says if the rate was set at $10, residents
could actually make ends meet.
Hampton adds a higher wage would help local businesses, since minimum
wage workers usually spend their money in the community.
Hampton plans to launch an Ontario-wide campaign demanding a
$10 minimum wage.
