‘Mining Matters’ Camp

Over 30-First Nations youth living in the area of the Ring of Fire are learning about the emerging mining industry.
The group is taking part in a ‘Mining Matters’ camp in Thunder Bay.
Spokesperson Barbera Green Parker says the teens are getting hands on experience.
She says its important for youth to learn about the future opportunities that will be available.
The teens are talking to mining industry professionals and teachers from Confederation College and Lakehead University.
