Ontario’s Minister of Research, Innovation and Science believes our province is one of the international leaders in water technology.
Speaking in Thunder Bay, Reza Moridi stated they have 900 companies in Ontario right now focusing on water treatment.
He also encouraged local researchers and scientists to collaborate on water technology and protection.
Moridi says about $14-billion of research and innovation is conducted in Ontario each year by the government and the private sector.
Moridi adds to protect the environment, his government has brought in legislation making burning of coal for electricity illegal.
