Minister Of State Promoting FedNor And PACE

The Minister responsible for FedNor says the Federal government’s main focus right now is creating jobs.
Greg Rickford made his first major funding announcement as Minister of State for Science and Technology Tuesday, with $960,000 for Patricia Area Community Endeavours.
Rickford says the money will help support local business development and create new jobs in the area.
The Kenora MP says PACE has done great things in the Dryden area.
He notes PACE has invested more than $4.4-million in local businesses and leveraged $3-million from other sources.
Rickford says through its lending and business counselling activities, PACE has helped create and maintain 514 jobs.
Rickford adds the government remains focused on providing the right environment for economic growth.
