Minister Of State Readies For Throne Speech

Still another month before Members of Parliament return to the House of Commons.
Last week, the Governor General agreed to prorogue parliament until October 16th.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford notes it will be a busy one month before the resumption of parliament.
Rickford says the Conservative Caucus will be working on the new agenda for the fall session and will also start work on the spring budget and consultations.
He says he’s already put in his requests for the speech from the throne to include FedNor and the Ring of Fire.
Rickford is the new minister of Science and Technology and says the speech from the Throne will reflect the new priorities of the recently overhauled federal cabinet.
