Minister Reacts To Budget Approval

Ontarians won’t hit the polls this summer.
The Provincial Government’s budget is in the clear after the NDP kept their promise and voted to support it.
Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle says it’s a relief and stresses no one wanted an election.
Gravelle says his party was able to work with the NDP.
Gravelle notes the budget is a good one for northern Ontario.
The Thunder Bay-Superior North MPP specifically mentioned the re-commitment of $100-million for the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
Gravelle also points to an increase in the Ontario Child Benefit maximum payment by up to $210 over the next two-years.
The budget passed by a vote of 64 to 36 yesterday.
