Ministry of Health Will Finally Pay Up

After 2 years of bickering with the Ministry of Health, the Kenora District Services Board is finally going to get the funding it was owed for the Unincorporated areas to cover land ambulance costs.
Official on both sides met Monday to discuss the issue.
CAO of the KDSB Sten Lif says a day later, they received a letter saying the Province would cough up over $1.2 million.
Last year alone, the Board had to borrow over $500,000 from its reserves to cover the land ambulance deficit.
