The Ministry of Labour continues to investigate reports of mercury at the Dryden Weyerhaeuser Mill’s Recovery Unit.
Provincial Officials will meet with the company’s Joint Health and Safety Committee next week to discuss preliminary test results and make certain recommendations.
Tests conducted by the Committee found only minimal levels of airborne mercury.
The review was launched after elevated levels of mercury were found in the blood steam of 5 workers involved in the Air Emissions project.
