A Red Lake Tourist Operator’s illegal bear guiding practices has resulted in a 2-year ban on providing services and a $14,000 fine.
Jody Stevens of Sargeant, Minnesota was convicted of 11-counts of providing bear hunt services without a licence in 2007 and 2008.
Stevens served as a guide for U.S. hunters on Long Legged Lake, about 55-kilometres south of Red Lake.
He also recorded false information of a number of different mandatory forms.
