Missing Woman Located in the Bush

A woman missing for 1-week has been found alive after surviving in the bush outside Red Lake.
Police say 45-year-old Valerie Cain spent 6-days in the bush near the Chukuni River south of Red Lake.
A float plane operator spotted her vehicle on Friday.
Police along with a helicopter and marine unit searched the area throughout the day and a ground search continued into Saturday morning.
That’s when a person near Snowshoe Falls Dam discovered Cain near the river.
Police say she’s in good condition but suffering from dehydration and numerous insect bites.
Her relatives reported her missing on July 12th.
Police have not yet released details surrounding the circumstances leading to her week-long ordeal.
