A hunting trip in the Perrault Falls area has ended up costing a Missouri man.
Gregory Evans has been fined $5,500 for abandoning a black bear and allowing its flesh to spoil.
Evans was also convicted of hunting black bear without a licence and making a false statement to a conservation officer.
Court heard that last August, Evans shot a small female bear, which he abandoned in search for a larger, more impressive bear.
He has been banned from hunting in Ontario for three years.
