Organizers of the Atikokan Bass Classic says a weight mix-up led to them declaring the wrong winner over the weekend.
An incorrect weight was entered into the computer system.
That led to them declaring Mike Badiuk and Ian Waterer as the winners.
In fact, Trevor Zimak and Travis Schallock had the winning two-day weight of 44.84 pounds, but weren’t declared the winners until after the error was found.
The Board has issued a public apology to both teams and says they are committed to learning from the situation.
